Dorky Dan seemed pretty pissed in his interviews after signing day. Does it mean anything?

No cause we’ll get enough bodies for them to “keep their jobs”

He seemed more upset about the RB situation as he should be. Hopefully that’s the change. I don’t see firing billy because we missed on brown, but if the Manuel issue is grades they clearly must have known about it- maybe that’s why the late push for brown but I don’t know.

I may be the outlier here, but I'm not as down on Robinson as others, and will at least give Gonzo the coaching side of things. He's been an upgrade there. So I'd see how he does with some of what we'll roll out this year before his firing. I also think it's relatively moot with him because of the connection. Not sure on Robinson, but I don't dislike him as much as some here.

English and Knox should be gone yesterday. My fear/prediction is that they make it one more year and they truly bottom out next class. The proof is in the pudding, and they are terrible. Literally bring nothing to the table. As I've stated before, coming from a financial services background, and having to cold call D&Bs to get my start,I'm baffled at their failures. You have an inbound sale with a great product(not finished, but still great) to sell. If you can't learn to close that, it's time to start thinking about a different career. It's not for everyone.

I wouldn't allow them to enter the building today and make it an ugly scene to send a message of what's acceptable and what's not. Then, if I'm Mullen, I personally fly to every RB recruit we are truly pursuing and apologize for not having put our best foot forward, and assure them that from this point on, I will be recruiting them as my number one priority.

Stevie Wonder would recruit circles around Knox.

They wouldn't be perfect circles, probably more oval shaped with an occasional sharp angle here or there. But circles, nonetheless.

I’ve said it before, but bears repeating. DM should also fly to happy valley and apologize to Seider, beg his forgiveness and then ask if he would like to coach RBs in a warmer climate.

so you give donnie 2 more years? In my opinion, if we keep having 8-10 wins seasons, no way striks can justify canning him. its wishful thinking on your part donk.
He doesnt survive his fourth straight loss to Shart. Youre kididng yourself if you think he does.

He is the only one who counts moral victories.

He will retire rich first. Iseriously doubt Seider would even take a call.

There are other great recruiters, Strong and Durkin are available today, and many others. But I doubt we call them either.

He should take it a step further. Give him the title of OC. Seider isn’t coming back for an RB coach position.

I would agree here. Guys like WM were so well liked by the Bulls and local crowd that they were willing to overlook his flaws(see "give him another year in '14"). He spoke like them, had the Oak Hall roots and said all the things they wanted to hear. Zook was great at making people feel good about things long past the point they should've accepted reality. And Spurrier was the returning "native son" and also had a ton of success.

Mullen is none of those things. He represents Meyer--a period that has a love/hate relationship with many--runs an offense that isn't their first choice and is from New Hampshire. If he keeps losing to uga, which ultimately prevents us from winning the SEC, they will turn on him, and quickly.

Surviving Stricklin and surviving here are two different worlds. That double-digit win thing creates a dilemma.

Exactly, It all comes down to the donors.
