Tweets like this scream, "I know deep down inside that my problems are my own fault, but if I vaguely tell people how I've been wronged and others validate me, then I don't have to take responsibility for my actions and I can feel better about myself."

A Heisman QB cures a lot of ills. They are going to lose 5 games this year.
Exactly. . We're talking about the same ******* that lost to Troy in death valley. I'm taking names of oger lovers around here. He's gene chizik part 2.

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, who was terrific in his final year at UF and played a ton last season for the Saints, is trying to get his degree. Admirable! However, he took the opportunity to publicly let Florida (and everyone on Twitter) know he wouldn't be graduating from that university.

Hey Mr. Where Can I Get a Degree?, I think DeVry U. is probably your best bet.

Also, "elsewhere" is one word.

I've had a lot of free time and have been watching all those old games from the Spurrier era.
Man, how things have changed.
We're in a completely different place now, but the problem is that the foundation has led us to a place where the media is influencing so much of the thought process.
Back in the days of SOS redefining the SEC, there really wasn't a lot of media to influence recruiting and what happens when someone just doesn't have what it takes.
But now all those losers have this avenue of social media-combined with the social media--to shoot down the University and coaches when the process didn't cater to them.
Look, you are either in or you are out. You can back up and change and take a different path, but you are either a Gator or you are not.
I'm not going to cry about these guys that -for whatever reason--couldn't make the grade.
There is a standard, and that standard was set by the greatest Gator--Steve Spurrier.
And he didn't put up with any ****.
That's why Emmitt was so butthurt, because he felt that SOS should kiss his ass, and Spurrier just told him to make up his mind.
Of course there is more to the story, and Spurrier inherited another RB--Errict Rhett, who imo is probably the greatest RB that ever played for UF, and if you watch those old teams and compare them, then I think you will remember.
Anyway, now we live in a day and age when the coaches balls are shrinking, and the social media has the infatuation of the young recruits in the eyes of everyone--most of them which really don't matter--but you know that they are going to follow the path of least resistance.
UF is definitely NOT the path of least resistance;
It it is the path of accomplishment and understanding what it means to be a true champion.
And there are principles for that, and there are a whole bunch of coaches that couldn't care less about a young person's path.
But the UF that I remember is the UF that cares, and the coach back then was Spurrier, and he knew how to turn things around.
Please never forget 1990 and what Spurrier did.
And 1991 might have been the best team that UF ever had--second only to the 1996 and 2008 teams, but with a few changes on defence, that 91 team...well, it was pretty good.

uh huh. As are you. Because you don’t like “twitter whiners”. The only assumption I am making is that a bad perception with recruits is forming and it is fueled by stuff like this. It’s just my opinion but I do not remember seeing recruits beating down the door lately.
They weren't beating down the door on Mullen's first day, his 100th day, his 500th day, or now. They aren't beating down the door because he can't recruit and never has been able to. It has nothing to do with this recent "perception". You act like we were setting the world on fire in recruiting until lately. Puh-leeze.

Sending you to Swamp Gas is getting on my radar again.

Mullinz had Dak and it didnt cure anything.

He still got his teeth kicked in by any team w a pulse.

And Burp Bielema too.
Joe Burrow is 10,000 times better than Dak Prescott. Perhaps 20,000. There's a reason why the Cowboys are being extremely hesitant right now to give him a huge contract. Wouldn't you? The guy is an effing loser and Jerry Jones knows it.

I seem to recall Chauncey catching hell for being a poor tackler, indecisive, and not very physical early on in his UF career. I recall there being a lot of feedback in that regard. I contributed to it here on GC. But it was true. To his credit, he became a different player his last season. It could be argued that he took the criticism to heart, worked, and got better. He’s a pro now. But it’s also in vogue to air your grievances to a broad audience. Take it for what it’s worth.
I too thought he improved quite a bit his last season. Interesting that it was under the new staff. We’ll never know if it was correlation or causation, but I guess we know which CGJ believes. I’ll never understand the need of so many these days to tweet out all their thoughts and feelings as they are occurring.

All 11 players on offense are currently on NFL rosters and the OC is in the NFL. That hides a lot of coaching

I work in an industry where grown people act like children, and make sh!t up all the time when they are annoyed, usually a gross exaggeration of something. I don't automatically believe this kind of stuff at all anymore.

I'd bet ten bucks if we actual knew what the coaches said, we'd laugh about it. What should the coaches do? Just kiss ass 24/7 so that the possible "perception" of a perfect program never gets upset? I'm tired of the whiners always getting their way. It needs to end.

You work in the mainstream media?

Who knew?

Kids adults in their 20's don't want to hear constructive criticism and make themselves better from it. They want to blame everyone else for their problems, I deal with it from my 9-year-old on the daily.

Precisely

These guys have had their a$$es kissed since they were 14 and getting honest feedback is considered a micro aggression in the world of snowflakes
