Said it in the box yesterday--but this is Kiffin trying to play mind games and get us overconfident. We're 2 TD favorites on the road against a team that didn't do well last year...and we're dealing with 18-21 yr olds. Not beyond them to take this game lightly and find themselves in a dogfight as a result. Throw in the early start (which we never do well with) and 1st game issues (which all teams tend to struggle with, especially us)...and Kiffin is trying to maximize every possible advantage he has. Ignore it.

The only reason I might quibble with you on that is the difference in the two QBs (Trask vs Franks) and the weakness of the Ole Miss D when compared to a solid 2019 scum D. Even if we do tackle poorly, we should still have enough O to outscore them by a TD or two. JMHO.

I think he did fairly well at times when he had to fill in while Zuniga and Grenard were injured, but yeah...I didn't see much that made me feel like he was going to be the next NFL #1 draft pick or anything though.
