Please God let's not keep Mullen for a wasted final year like we did with the Chimp. It's over, why prolong it?

Agreed. The worst thing the administration can do is to keep around a coach that does not want to be here anymore. Look at what happened when Urban "unretired" for Florida.

I can only guess there were negotiations with Mullen and the price was too high to let him go at this time.

Caveat on that:
"He’s a pretty big time name in the business and the Texas pass defense improved more than 50 spots on the national scale in his first year as a safety coach and defensive coordinator."
We've had fat Todd for three years and we dropped roughly 700 spots in every defensive category.

You underestimate our administration’s ability to remain oblivious to the evolution of our fellow SEC football programs.

Wishful thinking.
Heres how its going down now that the NFL has turned its back on Cousin Eddie.
Grantham will get one more year to finish up his contract.
Mullen is in no danger or even on a hot seat yet from the people that fire and hire. He will probably make a whole sale change on defense next year to quiet down the noise and ave his a$$.
Your looking at 8-4 to 10-2 seasons for the next 8 years, Maybe one or two more trips to Atlanta.

We have no chance at winning 8 games next year. Zero. 4-8 to 6-6 season.

Here are the games I feel confident enough about saying we win or lose:

W - Florida Atlantic Gainesville, FL
L - Georgia Jacksonville, FL
W - Samford Gainesville, FL
W - Florida State Gainesville, FL
L - Alabama Gainesville, FL
W - Vanderbilt Gainesville, FL
L - LSU Baton Rouge, LA

These are the games I am not sure of but taking a guess:

W - USF Bulls Football Tampa, FL
W - Tennessee Gainesville, FL
L - Kentucky Lexington, KY
L - Missouri Columbia, MO
W - South Carolina Columbia, SC

I got 7-5. So good year would be 9-3 and great year is 10-2. Bad year 5-7 and horrible would be 4-8. Who knows what is going to happen between now and then. Probably won't even be a football season since we will all be told to hide in our closets while wearing masks for the next several years.

What's your first clue...did ya see the Cotton Bowl?
We won't have that awesome passing attack, Grantham is still Grantham and if they open up after COVID Mullen may have to play in front of more than 20k fans

I see us 9-3. I think we’ll be much better running the ball but obviously not nearly as explosive with the passing game.

The same Missouri team we flat out embarrassed this year and gave up half a hundred to Arky/Miss St and lost their DC is now going to beat us? You guys are a bunch of losers...

EDIT: Lost their best defensive players and have no playmakers on offense....

Seriously grow a pair you pussies

Let’s just get to 6 wins somehow someway. There’ll be plenty of time for “I told you so’s” between season’s end and our bowl game. Roughly 10 days to be exact.

Hear about his halftime speech at cotton bowl? Told the team "you guys don't know how to win", and that he didn't expect them to win anyways. Who the hell makes 6 mil to throw their hands up in the air like that?

@ByTimReynolds: The Miami Hurricanes have hired Travaris Robinson -- the former South Carolina defensive coordinator and a Miami native -- as their new defensive backs coach.
