This is actually pretty normal Mullinz. Look at Dak (especially) or even Tebow. Younger QBs arent even allowed to throw until they have mastered the option and run it for basically a year.
I think some missed the obvious last Saturday, but between Bryce and Emory, who actually looked like the more veteran QB? GNFP kinda hit on it, but though Bryce is the same class as AR he looked every bit as polished as a QB as EJ did even though EJ has been getting 'development' for several years vs Bryce being in year 2.
Did you see Bryce coming in on the 3rd series every game last year while Mac Jones sat on the bench? Heck no...Bryce was playing in the 3rd quarter for the rest of the game and he even got to throw the ball. Meanwhile, Mullen would pull Trask after driving to the red zone just so EJ can come do some QB left QB right crap. And he calls that development.
Well it really shouldn't shock anyone that EJ now stares down his primary with frozen feet. But yeah...Mullen is a QB developer.
