like I said - who cares

Hmmmm.....someone cared enough to register (albeit under a pseudonym (of a pseudonym)), for the sole purpose of addressing a potential libel against the original pseudonym...

...not sure why, but somehow that strikes me as funny.

(I mean, If my 92Gator handle has been, or is being, mudslung to hell over at Too Hot, I'd be none the wiser--and not sure I'd give half a shiit at this point anyway. Seems we've already been broad-brush painted as 'tail between the legs' 'cowards', 'snowflakes', 'triggered'...(am I missing any?)...and none of us has felt obliged to go and defend 'our good [pseudonyms]'.

Anyway....they know where they can find us, if they want to engage.

In the meantime, they can sound off to their heart's content....in their now quaint, intimate, desolate little libby echo chamber 'safe place,' where in lieu of good, robust, flavorful debate, they may now go crazy to see who can out hate the POTUS--AND HIS SUPPORTERS--who can out clever whom, in turning a creative phrase to diss the 'deplorables', the 'smelly Walmart shoppers', the buffoonish rednecks in fly-over country who would dare vote for the POTUS...

Must be having so much fun, why we oughtn't ever expect any of them to make their way over here...not even to defend their sacred pseudonym...

I'm starting to understand the need for Gator Country moderators...

Just wow. Lurking over there for the first time. Saw this thread, couldn't believe it. I won't link it here or they may be flagged to the presence of so many of their own. But here it is:

Ray has urged everyone on the sports boards to be more considerate of other people's views and debate the message, not the posters. Many posters were politely sent elsewhere to get their Gator news when they refused to modify their behavior.

We don't know if you have been to the Sports forums lately, but the tone has improved. Negative events are discussed without attacking the messenger and while it is not perfect it is a whole lot better.

Over the last month we have made a conscious effort to change the tone on Too Hot. Insults directed not only at posters but public figures were quietly deleted or edited. Some examples of posts that were deleted are: "Trump is an idiot", calling Trump "infantile Tweety Pie" or "dickhead" and saying Lebron James is a "dumb-ass .. ignorant bastard ... who can't spell" were deleted. The list could go on and on. Some posts were edited: Obozo was changed to Obama, "******* Trump" was simply changed to Trump. Insults towards other posters were deleted or edited. Sometimes these posters were notified but not always. Overall, the tone of THFSG did change for the better without a lot of fanfare because the first insult usually resulted in more of the same. Now, without the first insult, replies don't tend to go down the "insult road".

Several posters did notice and complained about it, some have left. One poster called out a mod for an edit and publicly demanded the mod resign. The poster received a 3 day ban, emailed Ray and demanded the ban be immediately lifted. After the 3 days were up, he pm'ed an administrator and said they wouldn't be back.

We were originally going to wait until the next Presidential election to start this but with the changes Ray made in the other forums it was time for it here as well. We realize there is a is a difference in Too Hot from other forums. Too Hot by it's very nature is polarizing, everyone here hates the noles, but with Too Hot there are almost always two or more sides to every issue.

So as we move forward, please discuss the issues, topics, or events and leave the insults off. They don't add anything to the discussion. Over the summer, Too Hot is the most popular forum on Gator Country. Now that football season is upon us, the sports forums will jump back as the most popular. Realize that we can not immediately read every post made on all of the forums, so if you do see an insult, please report it using the report button. Don't respond to it with another insult. Insulting posts will be edited or deleted at some point. If someone replies to a post that is later deleted, the new post will also be deleted as it doesn't make sense to leave the original post in the quote box.

We are always open to suggestions for improvement on the forum, feel free to pm any of us listed below, after all it is your forum. We want a forum where it is enjoyable to come and debate the issues of today.

Yep makes you wonder how they can call the place "too hot" with elementary school sounding rules like that.

No, not having any issues with speed at all, and haven't heard about any problems from anyone else (and trust me they would tell me). Google Chrome seems to be the browser that works best.

However, if he's using a Pentium 1 386 machine (which I suspect) it's going to always be slow.

It's possible that sometimes ads slow things down. I suggest becoming a Supporting Member to remove them all. :proud:

Dangole would be my guess.
Doubtful because there's no one for him to whine to over here. Not saying it isn't him, but the fact this isn't a safe space---he's more apt to stay in his pleasant confines.

Now WDG....arrogant and know-it-all attitude. Kinda fits the posting style.......hmmmmm.:scratchhead:

But to quote bill...."who cares". The whole friggin lot of them.

I don't like any of these new posters.

Forums are kind of like The Office. You have to get to know the characters. Give us a chance.

I’ll give you the spark notes:

Gatormb and I are protestant evangelicals, and we are very good friends IRL. We agree on almost everything, but we have different posting styles and personalities. Usually we are debating the merits of ideas and positions.

92gator is the conservative Catholic attack dog. We’ve had some heated debates about Catholicism in the past, but we tend to be on the same team in political threads.

Mind_The_Gap is the hardest to describe. She hates being labeled. But she is something. Put Christianity, non-messianic Judaism, Eastern mysticism, and Unitarian Universalism into a blender and what comes out of that blender is what she is. She doesn’t want to win an argument of ideas. Her goal is to prove those she disagrees with are unrighteous and hypocritical. That is her style, as has been noted by other posters, and as the post C&P’d from Too Hot proves.

So we are aligned against one another usually, but since the Catholic Church has become more universalist and liberal that kind of creates an unholy alliance between Mind_The_Gap and 92. So threads usually end up devolving into a 2 vs. 2 with the liberals kind of cheering 92 and Mind_The_Gap on because above all liberals hate evangelical Christianity.

Well, little buddy, you've just outed Mind the Whatever floats your boat as Lacuna, a very talented poster who will become the messiah of posters not believing the Gospel.

Questions to ask her before being duped are:

Is Jesus the Christ of the Trinity?

Is trust in Jesus and repentance the only way to Heaven?
