We're getting ready to build a 12th floor penthouse on top of the Seagle Building for Chris Steele.

I was lookiing for a detailed drawing with measurements and a list of materials. I am not very clever and its mean to make fun of me. :bart:
We're not laughing at you, we're laughing with you.

You need to find the Fab Guy. Obviously decent fabrication folks make a lot of money welding and machining things. Most shops aren't going to have time for this, and you wouldn't want to pay for it if they did.

But there's always guys out there that just don't dig that sort of lifestyle, making thousands of the same widgets for weeks at a time, but like to have a different challenge everyday.

The right place is probably going to look messy with metal bits everywhere and scrap cars motorcycle frames etc. It is going staffed by one or two guys that look like they used to be Roadies for ZZ Top. Bonus if you can find one that's a Gator and understands what the seats mean to you.

To find on of these guys maybe go by a few muffler shops or whatever and ask them if they know a welder that does side jobs or small jobs.

As for the base itself it might matter what the guy has sitting around. What pieces of metal he has. Unless you have something specific in mind,

Also it may be worth your time to take a look at some metal seats or benches or something like that. Buying a more ornate seat base and then having him modify to attach your seats is probably more cost-effective. Scrap metal costs have plummeted so it's a good time for this.

good luck.

Bullag8r it's really not a big deal. Any welder worth his salt could fabricate a base out of the scraps he has just laying around. Talk to any local welding shop (not the big boys cause they ain't about that little project stuff) or steel worker and they'll hook you up.

So since the season was a complete wash and the draft is only 5 rounds I assume more guys will not be tempted to sign b/c it will be as a free agent, but it will give guys a chance to select a good situation for them. But it is going to make roster management very difficult for college teams for a couple of years. New players who thought they would play as frosh will have to wait a bit possibly and managing pitching could really be problematic. Hopefully the NCAA will have some modifications for a few years to help out college baseball. In fact college baseball could be awesome for a couple years if guys stay who normally would have been drafted in say a round 8 or 9 and might have signed.
