I think Bama has a tough time making it in unless all the other teams schit the bed. SEC Champ gets in unless it has 2 loses. If Georgia wins the SEC and LSU only has that one loss, I think they both make it. I think pOSU, Clemson and PAC-12 Champ if they only have 1 loss.
Aid81 all hung up on who is “better.” Like I said in my second post, it isn’t about who is arguably better than who, an argument which can never be won by anybody. It should be about taking care of business on the field and winning the games you need to win in order to advance. Were the wildcard Giants better then the Pats the year the Pats went into the Super Bowl undefeated? Of course not, but they were better that night and that’s all that matters and that’s why we watch. Putting Bama in ahead of ANY one loss P5 conference champ is a complete and utter travesty that is about to be foisted upon the college football world yet again.
In any event I’ll reiterate that it’s all moot if the conferences do away with divisions. Then you basically have what amounts to a ten team playoff with the lowest ranking survivor of the first round booted. And BTW while I’m at it fork notre dame too!
Again, you say “take care of it on the field”. How is it fair if one team doesn’t have much to take care of on the field - like Clemson? They might not even play a ranked team this year. Even Bama will top that. That’s why I think 8 is more appropriate with 5 auto bids and 3 at large with division elimination. I know some hate it but you’d get the best from each conference plus allow ND to qualify if they deserve it and allow for a well qualified runner up or G5 to get in. Best case scenario for figuring out who is actually best.Aid81 all hung up on who is “better.” Like I said in my second post, it isn’t about who is arguably better than who, an argument which can never be won by anybody. Youre a moron. Adding more unworthy teams does not solve shyt.Expand the playoffs to 8 teams. Problem solved!
You’re a weird guyFun! Like @FireFoley not using hindsight to prove something he may or may not have said. Or @oxrageous thinking of a more original comeback than “you’re banned/take a vacation”. Or @Captain Sasquatch thinking for himself. Or @Slevin wearing men’s clothes. Or @Mr2Bits being right about a prediction. Or @Bushmaster taking troop discipline seriously instead of excusing everything #newarmy. Or @stephenPE withholding participation trophies just once. Or @Zambo not filming himself on a flight for the FAs to see. Or @jmskjrgator making a coherent post - perv. Or @Marine1 not defending a crappy “leader” because he met him once.
I’m sure I missed some. Name/city/preference of pronouns/favorite Trump accomplishment if you wish to opine, am I right, @QueenCityGator.
You're a moron. I guess you would like the NFL to only have a 4 team playoff? Maybe the world cup should only play 4 countries. The US Open golf tournament should only include the top 4 golfers. Every tennis tournament should only have 4 players. You're idiotic.Youre a moron. Adding more unworthy teams does not solve shyt.
but why stop at the P5? Why not include all of the FBS?. Putting Bama in ahead of ANY one loss P5 conference champ is a complete and utter travesty that is about to be foisted upon the college football world yet again.
Die mother fvkker and all you asswipes who want to destroy college football.

Maybe to prevent some stiff from cinderellaing their way into the playoff, we should just have the playoff committee look at the entire regular season and just pick the best team to be the champion. I mean why even have playoffs if we already know who the best team is? We can just go straight into figure skating and gymnastics style competition where we stop counting wins and losses and those pesky points scored and just subjectively decide who "deserves" the title the most.If the college season included more regular-season games and common opponents, the “take care of business” argument would hold water on its own.
Therein lies the problem. You can’t schedule any more games. So the National Semifinals become the all-important cleanser to ensure you don’t end up with a relative stiff vying for a title.
It seems to be working, although I am sick and tired of Bama and Clemson and their regularly scheduled season finale.
