@givemeglenn: Florida State's wait for a new head coach is over. Two people have told the Tallahassee Democrat that the hiring of Memphis coach Mike Norvell will be announced Sunday. The people requested anonymity because the hiring has not been publicly announced. Mike Norvell expected to be FSU football's next coach, faces immediate challenges
Excellent. Bring in a coach who’s best win while at Memphis was against 15th ranked SMU. Can’t wait to see the details of the contract, the buy out in particular.

@DanWolken: Florida State expected to hire Memphis football coach Mike Norvell Mike Norvell is Florida State's pick as new football coach via @USATODAY

Beyond that, some learning disabled athletes drink from a fire hose of course assistance. At Florida State, classroom accommodations, such as note-takers and untimed tests, are dispensed by the campus disability center that is available to all students. But athletes also have the resources of a $1.5 million-a-year athletic academic support unit with 32 computers, private tutoring rooms and a five-station "Learning Center" for athletes with learning disabilities or deficiencies.

That's where Brenda Monk set up camp, working on papers and other assignments with what she estimates were about 65 learning disabled athletes. She tells "Outside the Lines" that more than a third of the football team, and three-quarters of the basketball team, had learning disabilities. FSU spokesman Rob Wilson did not respond to requests by "Outside the Lines" for information on the number of learning disabled athletes who were in the program when Monk left.

Pretty much what we thought. FSU makes Franklin, Campbell, Leach, etc. money and hires the only guy they could realistically afford to buy out. Bet those three recruits yesterday found out and bailed.

Or they were dumb enough to believe that Haggins was going to be the coach and bailed when they found out he wasn’t.

It makes sense. Why would any defensive player want to play for Norvell?

I'm curious if any of these Memphis kids will try to follow Norvell to FSU.

I find this difficult to believe.
I mean... really? Why? I love being from the south but you think that behavior is beyond some old, white, southern rich dudes - especially those acting on emotion?

Either way, that tweet is the ESPN bat signal. ESPN already loves going after FSU due to their #metoo issues. Toss some potential racism on top? I bet an E:60 will be made covering there multitude of issues.

It's had to believe because it's too big of a story not to have been picked up by a major outlet. This is a bombshell.
