Because Zipperer will be a real TE, that was actually a 4-star and played the position very well in HS, we need to move Dante Lang over to SDE. He was a stud DE in HS, but for some reason switched (played both ways) his senior year of HS. He'll easily get up to 275+ in a year or so (when he's needed) and he's obviously athletic enough to play TE, so he'd likely be a solid SDE. Otherwise we need to hope these true freshman in this 2020 class are ready on Day 1 when they arrive on campus.

Yeah, 2020 is going to be a tough year, no way around it.

Hopefully, The Choker will get while the getting is good and not want to see his stock crushed reaping what he sowed so we can move up to a better DC by then.

I think that 2019 will be the hard year. 2020 will be better.

I can’t wait for the season to begin. It is going to be a lot of fun. Mullen is doing great. Tough spring but bouncing back strong. Stopped into the Salty Dog tonight for a warmup for the fun to come.

This season should be at least an "incremental" improvement over last season, with the talent and coaching currently on hand. We won't be perfect by any means, but if things don't get seriously derailed by injuries or gross stupidity, there is every reason to believe that this should be a very good or better season. Next year is a big fat question mark until we see who emerges from the pack of young players that will have been recruited by DM and staff. Along with the incoming freshmen who could distinguish themselves during the season, the 2020 class will go a long way in cementing the success or signaling possible problems for the ongoing program rebuild. Stay tuned.

It's just math. Butter's last class was atrocious. Mullinz first class was very weak. There is a reason even the great ones stuggle in the third year.
