This could possibly be the dumbest thing you've ever said on this board...and that's saying a whole hell of a lot
Go find the youtube highlights and count yourself.

Sounds good. If we get an OC who believes in attacking downfield and tempo instead of sideways passing and very slow offense, and we move to the ACC so we only have a two game season and dont need depth, it could work.

Oh yeah, and load up on like 50% of the 5 stars.

The delta between Clemson’s and Florida’s offense is about running the ball, not throwing it. We averaged more yards through the air than they did this season.

Clemson didn’t start harvesting five-star athletes until after their second title, in 2018. They’re doing about as expected, building on the momentum they created. It’s how you build a successful program.

And they run an offense not dissimilar from ours.

Was just perusing through the Rivals team rankings over the last several years. Clemson has been anything but dominant. As a matter of fact, they’ve been consistently right about where we are now.

Clemson has done three things really well.

1) recruit well at QB
2) recruit well on DL
3) low attrition

so many of their classes are low numbers, which usually translates to lower class rankings. They have recruited two high impact positions very well. They also play in the ACC.

you’re not wrong, but those are some reasons for what you’re seeing

Let me see if some names ring a bell with you: CJ Spiller. They've been killing it with talented backs, WRs and QBs for a long time because they don't run an offense that features the QB running the ball most of the time.

And they run an offense not dissimilar from ours.
You're fvkking stoned. Sometimes I wonder if you actually watch football.

Clemson is a very vertical spread, often based on 4 verts and things to pick on the seams in a normal 2 high or 4 high look. Really, all of the Tommy Bowden tree run this, even Rich Rod though he runs much more run out of the playbook.

The base play in our offense is the a read option or read option RPO.

They aren't even vaguely close other than we both kind of run 4 receivers often.

I wish that I could remember where I saw it, but in the Patriots 2014 season, nearly 30% of Brady's passes were within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. They played in the Superbowl that year.
30% is cool. 80% isn't. You want to pressure them short, long, medium, wide and in the middle. Make them defend it all.

Despite what most people believe or "remember" about SOS, most of his were 7-11 yards.

Losing Spiller hurt. Now Clemson owns N. Florida.

depends on your definition of harvesting. They've been pulling in 5*s since dabo got the job.

Apparently you haven’t since 2009. That was Spiller’s last year at Clemson. What in the holy hell does that have to do with the tea in China?

The pistol doesn’t incorporate the read. No, not at all. You didn’t see Lawrence rattling off big gains on read runs against Ohio State. It was all a mirage.

Here you, go. Embed that in your av.

Not anywhere close to what they’re doing now. Their 2017 class rated 22nd.

2018 6 5-star athletes
2019 2
2020 6

They have gone supernova but it just takes one or two Tebows, Harvins or Spikes to make a big difference. They also had a few very small classes because the inn was full. I remember when that used to happen to us and we'd have that occasional 10th or 12th ranked class bc we we only took 17 kids.

The other side is he lands a bunch of local kids who want to play for Clemson and who will wait three or four years to start on their OL. A fifth year senior OL beats a 3 and done 5 star OL almost every time. He isn't selling 3 and done like Shart.

I do like that aspect. Stay home and get the ones who really want to be Gators.

Interesting. Trask ran the ball more than Perine? Did he run more than pass?

scUM is a dumpster fire. No excuse for it even being close and no excuse for our list being so bottom heavy.

Frankly we should probably land about half of the top 25 and take almost no one outside of the top 50.

I don't care much about recruiting in other states. We should own Florida, especially right now.

Unless I overlooked someone, we did manage to land the top rated QB in our state. Guess it wasn’t a good year for elite QB’s in this state. I do like that we got AR though, he’s a good fit.
