Thing is, I realize this is a transition class, but I don't dislike any so far. They, at least, seem to make sense for what he wants to do.

“It was amazing, I had a great experience,” Matthews said of his official visit to Florida.

“I spent a little time with Kamari [Wilson],” he said. “He was just telling he was going to stay out of the way and that I was going to like it. Just know that you’re going to like it. There wasn’t much for him to say but me and Kamari go way back from being recruited together forever. We always been undercover saying we’re going to go to the same school.”

After signing day, one of the recruiting services used to rate the school that signed the best OL, the best DL, etc. Signing Matthews might give us the best DBs?

If we could close with Matthew's and Perk it could very well be our best Defense class ever for star rating. Wilson and Perk being consensus 5*, Matthew's and Moore being 4-5* depending on recruiting service and James being a very high 4*.

apparently Mathews is extremely happy with UF right now. He still has LSU ahead of him, but we are looking very good, all things considered. Not a lock by any means, because LSU is the home school, last visit and he apparently has people on the staff there. But we are in a very good position.

Wow, that last statement is huge!

I thought they were good but they just didn't live up to their star ranking. I would have to look back at our defensive stats to remember for sure.
That was really my point! A class that looks to be outstanding by star rankings doesn't always work out on the field. If I remember Easley had some injury issues

Solid players? Good on paper? Wow.

Three first round draft picks along with a 4th and 5th round pick. Those rating agencies are patting each other on the back for going 5 for 5 in player assessment with the exception being Ronald Powell want the best in his class. Should have been a high 4 star, not the number 1 player.

Edit to add college honors - 2 sec all freshman team; 3 all sec team seasons; and 2 all American seasons. With Easley accounting for none of those (due to injuries as he was otherwise the most dominant of that class). Meh.
