In the Bearcats’ defense, they played about as well as most of the other P5 teams have played in that 3-4 spot. The bigger point is there simply aren’t more than two, maybe three, teams that deserve to play for it all in any given year. We keep insisting that there are, yet quite conclusive evidence continues to show otherwise.
