We looked like a team w half the talent of Corndogs last night primarily bc we are a team with half the talent.Too early to say this. This team is low on talent and recruiting is in the toilet, so I don't see how the future looks that bright.
I was assured that our coach was a 3 star whisperer who doesnt need talent.1. Injuries and the lack of quality depth are just too much to overcome against a quality opponent.
!
It takes a team.I definitely realize it now. It's just a shame we have our best QB since Tebow and our best passer since Grossman, and it's all going to go to waste.
Meh. We’re 2nd fiddle in the East. Again.
Trask was only supposed to be a temporary stopgap for Jones. However, he's shown he has so much potential that him coming back next year suddenly has real meaning, IF he's allowed to be a real QB in this offense. For that to happen, Mullen would have to build his offense around him, something that he simply isn't going to do. In Mullen's mind, his offense is in neutral when Trask is back there because he can't run like Michael Vick. This is just who we hired, a spread-option-or-nothing coach.
If Mullen views Jones as the QB next season, and I think he does, he needs to bench Trask altogether and play Emory the rest of the year. Trask can then transfer somewhere and light it up his final year.
I asked my 10 year-old. He said "you can't throw every down, everybody knows that".Cover2, as usual, I greatly appreciated your insight! Thank you.
I have nowhere near the football knowledge that you and many others on this board have, but I really want to know something:
So, Trask appears to be a decent, perhaps even good, pocket passer (certainly he is not particularly mobile, but has a fairly good arm). We have an OL that provides serviceable pass protection. We have some good receivers. Why, then, oh why doesn’t CDM call plays based upon those realities? Why not design the system around the personnel?
That was one of my thoughts. Without the OL providing at least a modicum of a run threat the passing threat is neutralized.I asked my 10 year-old. He said "you can't throw every down, everybody knows that".
It's genuine. He is the ultimate bandwagonner. He threatened to meet me in an alley for a knife fight because I laughed at the proposition that Chump was winning the NC bc we were 8-0 in October or whatever it was.I admire your honesty @oxrageous as for a time I was not sure your prediction of us going 4-0 from AU thru UGA was genuine or you were just stoking the fire so to speak.
Oline, Oline, OLine.
That is all.
I remember when Butters won the east twice and won "10 games" twice and I was told we were underachieving and building something. This is year two of overachieving after Mac drove the program into a ditch, so I’m optimistic. .
