Fair enough, but putting Cincy or ISU in the playoff is nothing more than putting in a place-holder for the first round. aTm is a little more reasonable, and they may very well get in. The bucknuts didn't earn it, true, but they have the players to make for a real game, so if you want to see good on good they make the most sense, which is how I think the committee is viewing it.

The Buckeyes should be given no chance to win the NC, that’s what I’m saying. They didn’t earn the chance.

They’re supposed to pick the best 4 teams aren’t they? Who’s better than OSU? Certainly not us.

And how do we know OSU is one of the four best teams?
The eye test?

Remember that the “eye test” was the logic applied in 2006 to explain why UF had no business playing OSU for the title. I thought that huge media miss put an end to the use of the term.

OSU does not deserve to make the playoffs but sadly this has nothing to do with the best teams. This is ESPN’s show and the show is about tv sets and nothing else.
