I thought same thing too.....NFL to a college OC? Sounds like college may be his only choice.

UF would've been a championship team with offenses like that the past few years...

And who leaves an NFL OC job to take the same position in college for his biggest rival?

I never really thought of Shottenheimer as a Gator. He was more like a 5 year GA. Or was it even 5 years? I seem to recall that he may have transferred.

So which hire is better for us, him or Roper?

Roper IMO just because he runs a spread and they don't have the players for it.

No matter who they get, Richt will still be a soft coach and always good for a couple of losses every year.

Richt will have a heavy hand in what goes on in that offense. Always felt he "controlled" Bobo. Sure he'll do the same here. If one thing Richt does is keep plenty of assistants buffering him from the firing squad.

He was a transfer from University of Kansas.

IMO Georgia has already been decent offensively in recent years. They were weaker on defense. So by not addressing their weakness and going with BS to ruin, uhm I mean run their offense, I see it as a win for us.

"With his NFL experience, he will be respected before ever says hello to any of these kids and their families. He has been and have tons of current connections to help kids reach their goals of playing in the league one day. If wanted to he can name drop like few other college coaches can. He can paint that NFL goal to parents and can say I have been there . I will take care on your son and if he does the right things I can get him to the NFL."

Sounds like Gator fans after hiring cheeseburger

Triple cheeseburger had at least some history of success. Shotty not so much.
