I can honestly say I've never rooted for the Vikings in my life - that all changed tonight.
I hope Mike Glennon (who played so stud-like in their NC State win over the Clowns a couple of years ago) plays so well they actually consider benching the rapist.

Regardless what you think of him, I'm not sure how much you can take away from a rookie's first NFL start, a pre-season opener no less. The Bucs' pass protection was crappy and field position didn't help much either. Maybe he has mechanics and other issues to work on, maybe not, but I think you have to see a lot more of this guy before you can draw a firm read. I didn't see the drive he engineered but according to newspaper accounts he had a couple nice throws.

Who is basing their criticism on one start? Did you watch him play last year? He was pitiful. And he was surrounded by five star athletes playing in the worst conference in the country.

Ignoring what? He was terrible in his last year at fsu. Did you watch the UF and oregon games? We're a play away from blowing them out at home. GMs of crappy teams make crappy picks on a regular basis. I'm a jags fan. I've lived through it for ten years. Winston is a joke with a resume that is only bolstered by a garbage conference and a surrounding cast. When he was the feature in clowntown, he was horrid. In my posts in this thread, I haven't even bothered to address his glaring maturity issues off the field. He's the worst first pick in the history of the NFL because he is classless, and his talent (based on his college body of work) is questionable at best.
