And yet they still managed to win twice as many games as us. I’m pretty sure firing underperforming assistants isn’t part of the process. Slingbilly is playing chess while these others are playing checkers.
Having a Heisman QB helped, too.

Definitely didn’t hurt although they won without him.

That’s why I agree with you that if BNap wants to have any chance of keeping his job, Lagway needs to see the field early and often.

Woo Hoo!!!
LSU is out an OC and DC.
Is House any good? We need a LB coach.

The Tigers announced Wednesday that defensive coordinator Matt House,

House was one of Kelly’s first coaching hires after the former Notre Dame coach was hired ahead of the 2022 season. Before he became LSU’s defensive coordinator, House coached linebackers for the Kansas City Chiefs for three seasons.

There defense was bad, like UF bad, would love to know the impetus of the move. Was it the LSU AD, or Kelly? For good or bad, someone didn't live up to expectations and a decision was made or made for him.

i wonder what it feels like to win 10 games and have a coach so unsatisfied that he fires multiple assistants over it. we win 5 and retain with extensions.
Who got an extension? I guess I missed that.

Respect if it came from the AD. Wish we had that kind of oversight.

The consensus here in Baton Rouge is that if LSU had even a mediocre defense, with their offense they'd have been playing for at least an SEC championship. If their defense had been top 30, they might be playing next Monday. No one here thought it was acceptable.

I have noticed that some of the top coaches in any sport have a certain ruthlessness to them when it comes to coaches and players -- if they aren't helping them win, they cut them pretty quick. I think Kelly has that in him, so I expect this came from him. But at least he waited until after signing day!
