Either way there are ways around itIt's conference rule, man. I think only emergency transfers (like sickness at home) and grad transfers are allowed.
It's supply and demand, baby. They won't up production at all, and demand is just nuts.Yeah stores in nyc get a small allocation, way smaller than normal I think but I’ve got friends who sell me some for only 300% markup instead of thebnormal 100000000%
Just to let you know: pappy is 50 bucks wholesale. It’s insane how much they charge for it in store
I’ve yet to meet anyone who thinks Pappy isn’t overrated. Doesn’t mean it’s not great juice though. I’d guess most of the higher aged bourbons are probably overhyped. Just seems like 10-12 yrs is the end of the prime maturation. Of course the wheaters can go longer, but it takes a good MD and some luck

It’s definitely overrated. It’s price is due to it being rare. Like I said, if you applied reg mark up to a 50 dollar bottle it would be like 65-70 on the shelf usually.I tried a top line Pappy at a tasting room in Nashville. I thought Pappy was a little overrated. The best I had was a 30 year old Willet. I prefer a good single malt scotch but a drinkable bourbon is more affordable than a drinkable single malt
Btw.....
We are getting Championship Chip.
Wow 200? My god. People here sell it for 1-3k.Good deal. The $50 wholesale is probably the 10 y/o. I was told it will retail this year this year for $79, and on up from there. I think the 23 y/o retailed last year for over $200. Which one(s) did you get?
ChampionChip?Btw.....

I got the 10 for 80 and the 18 for 400. but It was a favor basically. Store still made a bit on them.
Just looked up 18 prices and they’re all around 2k. It’s def not worth that imho.
Same with anything henny or remy. You can get a 80 dollar bottle of single vineyard borderies cognac that’s ten times the quality of Louis xiii
I hope they get him or Frost.Better risk/reward ratio with Chip.

What I’m saying is retail here sells it for second market prices apparently. 18 year in manhattan is 1700. They don’t care how fast they sell it seeing how they buy it for 50-70 dollars whole saleI’m talking retail not secondary market.
