So what's the scoop on him. Can he play? Is he good enough to start next year first 6 games?

He "almost" can't be worse than Treon, but none of us has a real clue. We won't know until spring practice, and maybe not even until the O&B game.

Some folks on here posted that Shane Matthews thinks he'll start this year, and in fact would have started this year. He was a walk-on at Bama and the backup at Oregon State.

It also helps that he has been able to sit and learn the offense this year. So when spring starts he should be able to understand the offense and make plays.

Were not gonna need a heisman winning QB next year, just one that can manage the game well and actually go through his progressions. Our OL should be heavily improved along with the two Jordan's and even possibly Taylor back at HB

If he has the QB IQ to read the defense, and wil throw to the spot instead of waiting for the rcvr to get open, we wil score points and be way better than we are now.

He walked on at bama but had offers from ok st colorado st and Oregon st. He was behind 2 very good seniors at both places he went to. I also heard shane say that he was supposed to be the starter this year.

His dad is rich, he doesn't need the scholarship. He is not on scholarship here either. He left Alabama when Nusschamp left and they hired a Douchebag. He left Oregon State when Riley left and they hired a spread OC who wants the QB to run half the time.

I'm not saying he is good, but there is some explanation for the transfers.

Situations all sound legit. Knows football, grew up and lived with it. I am anxious to see what he can do.
