Holy cow! You just made me realize that I can't remember! Gonna have to ask the pops the specifics, but I just remember the stadium, the noise, and the crowds! Left a lasting impression for sure. I think it was around 87 to 89.... around when I was 10 for sure.

i dont remember the very first...probably '72...Doug Dickey was the coach Crazy Legs Gaffney was the first black qb at UF...Nat Moore Fingers McGriff. Some notable ones in the early 80's at Florida Field...I remember seeing James Jones catch against UM and Wilbur eating Sean Salisbury's ass up. Saw some good ones there.

1933 opening game. Dutch Staley's first game as head coach. We beat Stetson. Captain Sam Davis led the boys to a rousing defensive effort - shutting out a tough Hatters squad 28-0. I remember it so well because I took my best girl to the talkies to see King Kong afterward.
