This is a good hire for FIU by the way. I was just at the FAU game Saturday and they would love to have a coach of Davis' caliber/recruiting prowess. In the age of Trump, schools should be able to get away with hiring whoever the hell they want to - background be damned. Shame Trump didn't run in 2012, we might be looking at Petrino pacing the sidelines of the Swamp right now.

Its ok. We are used to losing players to directional schools. Houston Baptist is our new goto when looking for fluff to fill the roster when the 3 stars turn us down.

No matter how good a recruiter Davis is I just don't see anyone with real talent going to FIU, more likely he gets them in trouble with the NCAA and moves on in a few years.

Butch never won a NC. His players won the '01 NC with Larry Coker. But Butch did have a pretty epic academic scandal at UNC.
