Hudson could come back and work on his defensive skills, but kids don’t think like that, especially going into a defenseless league like the NBA.

Hudson is 21 turning 22 in May. If he comes back another year, he is at least as likely to go undrafted as improve his stock.

Players make lots of bad decisions like I wont go to such and such school because someone else has my number. Any player going when they will be drafted is not making a bad decision. The only real issue is to get an objective evaluation of your prospects of being drafted.

I am of two minds about 2 years remaining being a good thing or not. The great thing about these graduate transfers is you fill up your last remaining slot with them and then still have that slot to recruit next year.

Essentially Barry and Koulechov cost UF nothing in terms of lost opportunities. Wyatt Walker would mean UF could sign one less player next year.

UK Tenn in a good game coming down to the end. Tenn just hit one of the luckiest 3s I've seen to pull within 1 pt

Wyatt Walker is listed 6'9" 240 lbs. Back of the envelope calculations based on Barry and Koulechov's numbers and how much they fell off coming to UF suggest Walker would be about at 8.5 points per game and 7.8 rebound per game guy in about 23 minutes per game of play for UF.

Of course the caveat with all of these guys is the something about their quickness, defense etc that would cause them not to translate to high D1 at all.

Hes a lottery pick. But you're, right. We could definitely use him.

Actually he had one committed for nearly two years but he jilted White for all the "advantages" at Kentucky at the last minute. Mr. Alexander was spotted by White and his staff way before anyone else knew who he was and UF pounced on him and got his commitment. Once he became a high profile prospect, then Calipari descended upon him and he dumped us like a bad habit.

Wyatt Walker has experience. If his injury has no lingering effect, he'll very likely outperform Gak, potentially our best "big man" ?? Darn it ! That will be bad for us.

That's 4 bad knees and 4 good knees. Can we switch them around and get two healthy centers?

I did not watch one minute of the SEC title game. I turned it on pregame. Bad enough having two royal cocksuckers on the sidelines, but to have to endure Schlongie V giving Cheatapari head for two hours was too much to ask. I watched Davidson/Rhode Island instead, a dandy game.

Well, canyon barry was the sec 6th man of the year and egor has been a very solid player for us so i don't how they didn't translate to high d1 players. Second of all footspeed isn't that important for a big man, I'd bet this kid is every bit as fast as erik murphy. The kid was putting up solid numbers as a true freshman. Regardless of how that translates in your math, he was a true freshman,he can get better. If healthy, he'd be the best big man we have.

Well, I said all along, we had no business being in that SEC tournament. From the looks of coach & players, I don't think UF should sign up for it next year either.

              1. I did not say that Barry and Koulechov did not translate. They clearly did. I said the worry is that one of these guys from a middle or low major team will come in and it will just be too big of a step up. I am of course certainly not hoping for that.

              2. I think the Erik Murphy analogy is pretty good, but Walker is not an outside shooter so they are very different players.

              1. I apologize, i misunderstood you.

              2. I didn't look at the percentages but he was hitting 3s and had a pretty smooth stroke. I think the kid could be more versatile than murphy .

No problem and I did not look at this video clip:

either. I have looked at it now and was surprised to see a highlight 3 since according to his stats at ESPN he was 0-4 as a Frosh from the arc, 2-6 as a Soph from the arc and 0-0 in the two games he played this year before his injury.

He certainly appears to be an excellent passer with excellent vision from the post. The clip shows a lot of blocks, but again according to ESPN he has never quite averaged a block a game.
