Jake Bentley is transferring out of SC.
If you were a school looking for a grad transfer QB, which one of these two would you take?
Bentley without a doubt. I supported Franks while he was here, but I am glad he won’t be our QB anymore.
Then he better hope he doesn't get picked by the Eagles if he can't handle a little crowd booing when you are flat sticking it up.I don't see a problem shushing the crowd after they booed him.. Anyone who has a problem with that probably ought to check their tampax...
I think seeing the way Trask and EJ performed made his mind up for him.Interesting that he was on the sideline but waited.
I feel for Bentley. Playing QB for the chimp is laying in the pine box while that goofball nails it shut.
ShhhhhhhshhhAny player in any sport who thinks it’s in their best interests to tell their own fans to shut up is barely smart enough to breathe.
Trask did that in fewer games, however.
I am with you Jay . i only wish Feleipe Franks the very best. His injury was one of the worst in recent years. I wanted him to come back if he would end up changing positions the way Jordan Reed did. I think being a second or third string quarterback and his second or third string tight end could have gotten him a late round draft pick in the draft. But Frank's wants out now so it's time to go. I will remember that amazing Hail Mary pass fondly. ;)
Wish him the best
Not sure if this one has been posted anywhere, but this article puts together six places they see Franks potentially transferring. Florida Football: 6 potential landing spots for Feleipe Franks
In case you don't feel like reading it, here is the list (they admit #6 and #5 are not very likely):
6 - Georgia
5 - Alabama
4 - Michigan State
3 - Vanderbilt
2 - Kentucky
1 - Florida State
Can you even imagine having to play Franks at FSU? Michigan State is really the only one on that list that wouldn't be extremely awkward for Florida fans to see him playing at.
Thoughts?
I know these kids care less and less about being part of a college, but I just don't see how any kid that was here for 4 years could go to a rival or in division opponent. I still think UCF is a likely destination since his brother is there or was there and a Big 12 school might be a good fit where nobody plays defense and he would light it up for a year. Not sure if this one has been posted anywhere, but this article puts together six places they see Franks potentially transferring. Ucf had a true freshman go for 3300 yards this year. I doubt they're gonna be in the market for a grad transferI know these kids care less and less about being part of a college, but I just don't see how any kid that was here for 4 years could go to a rival or in division opponent.
