Jesus this is mind numbing, a large reason I don’t come around in the off season. It started raining literally 10 minutes before the guys got off the bus after being sunny all afternoon.

Also, was the suit thing a first game message or does anyone actually know for sure if that’s how they’ll do the walk the entire season.

I can't tell you if suits will be standard from here on out, but I do recall every player will be receiving 2 full suits every year they are on the team.

Something else just occurred to me. What about the brothers on the team, who might appreciate umbrellas to keep their intricate urban-American hairstyles from getting ruined by the rain along with their cheap limited-budget suits & ties? I don't want to have to take this to the PF but you're starting to look a little racist. :nono:
As demonstrated in the video of the walk, they all had their heads up and were smiling, like men do. You and your dated jheri curl and limited budget references are in fact racist... ;)

I'm guessing with our new "all business/earn respect" coach, they will do it as long as he is the coach. I have been waiting YEARS for a coach who treats the players as MEN and expects them to be accountable vs. "aw, they're just kids, let 'em dress/do as they please." Look at what Saban does with his team/men. I think Harbaugh is a jackalope, but if you watched the little documentary on their team for the bowl game last year, I remember (and commenting here) thinking/posting "THAT is how I want our players to think and act." Napier is making them "FLORIDA men", as a TEAM. Not a bunch of individuals basically doing whatever the fuk they want who happen to suit up the same on Saturdays.

How is it racist to presume that college students have limited budgets for buying suits?

And it's your jheri curl reference that's dated. I said intricate urban-American hairstyles. Like the ones worn by these guys. Who are not smiling. Because their hair and suits are all wet.

But I guess they should have to be all uncomfortable like that, walking around in a wet dress suit before a game, because you say they need to show "respect." Yes sir, mister boss man fan, sir!

I like the suits, but if I was a coach I'd take it a step further and tell them if I see a single stupid set of headphones they are getting chucked into Lake Alice. These twerps can't walk 100 feet without the stupid headphones on?

"DAMMIT, I just remembered what I forgot -- my umbrella!
And the iPad that had all Lingard's plays drawn up on it!"

I like the idea of sending Lingard in for just the final kneeldown all season - make it a tradition.

I would guess they hung them and they dried during the game. I stayed after the game until players left and many had zippered garment bags which I assume were their suits. It was great to see how many stopped and talked, signed things, took pics and just hung around with fans. I could tell there were many close friends and family waiting for them, and the guys were especially good with the kids who wanted to meet them.
