This board is full of them. . Most have never been on a football field other than marching in a band.

There were 31 NFL teams in the year 2000. They were all coached by football experts. They all had football experts for GMs. They had coaching staffs and professional scouts. Combined, they had decades of experience playing, coaching, and scouting the game of football and the men who play it. They had access to film and videos of thousands of players in hundreds of games against all sorts of competition. They had the results of the draft combine and players' pro days. They had everything.

And yet, the greatest football experts in the universe drafted 198 players ahead of Tom Brady.

You see, they had everything EXCEPT hindsight.

EVERYBODY is smarter in hindsight than in foresight. Even the best experts in the universe. Even you. Even me.

I wonder if, in retrospect, jmskjrgator regrets creating this thread.

Personally, I knew it was a bad idea all along.

Everybody's a 'Hindsight Genius.'

The ability to run it forward, if it were easy to do, would make us all millionaires instead of message board sages, now wouldn't it? Personally, I'd still be married to the same woman, but my list of ex-girlfriends would be impressive.

If you need hindsight to realize weve made terrible hires this decade, you are far from a genius.

You probably get a special seat on the bus just for you and your friends.

You know I'm a big fan of yours and always appreciated your support, but it's possible that fan message boards are not for you.

In hindsight, I'd have probably titled the thread Monday Morning Quarterbacks.

I don’t think that was his position. I think there’s a dimension of unfounded hubris.

This isn't his first classic thread. Remember this one? It's in the Hall of Fame section.

Poll:

That one is funny, because he's being awfully negative.
