Probably not going to happen anytime soon. ESPN pays Tebow three times what Savage makes at Florida.
Seriously? You're so predictable. You take anything short of adoration (for Tebow or you) as hatred. At this point, I can't tell if you're truly that blind or if this is just performance art.
He tried, it didn't work out, but there are plenty of other things that have worked out well for him. That's life. We all have successes and failures. And while I wished it would have worked out for him, I think the world more so needs an example of someone man enough to take a risk of public ridicule and then managing the failure and ridicule gracefully after it didn't work out.
Tim is in tip top shape and has a nice wife and home and makes good money doing everything he does and has given more to charity and a bunch of other meaningful causes than most. He practices what he preaches and never waivers. He stands tall thru all the criticism and lets it roll off while using it to grow stronger. He has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and his haters simply continue to show their ignorance each time they speak. Tim will always be a success in life no matter what he decides to do. Any one that takes shots at him are either flat out jealous or they hate his faith. No surprise there.
It's Colin Cowturd a nobody who sits on his ass for a living. I keep hoping the ratings for the shows on FS1 and bspn keep getting lower and lower and then these idiot owners and management keep paying the talent more and more. Just like the nba does. NFL too. He'll return to his cushy SEC Network gig.
He sleeps with and bangs the hell out of a Miss Universe every night.
He helps the less fortunate.
Human debris like Colin Cowherd and Steven A(sshole) Smith can **** off.
Does anyone remember why the Tim Tebow Denver to Jacksonville trade did not go through in 2012 or 2013? Was that Tim's fault was it his agent's fault? Where did Tebow end up the Jets? That's where NFL players go to die.
I remember being at the other board then and there was a headline and their sports forum that Tebow was traded to the jaguars and I was elated. Of course it really didn't happen and Tim's NFL career went downhill from there. He could have gone to abjaguars front office position with the if he had been traded to them 9 years ago.
In this clip of Skip and Shannon starting at the 8:00 minute mark Skip says Meyer knew that Tim would have a steep learning curve and that the early cut shows that Meyer was never willing to give Tim a chance to learn the position. Based on reliable inside information Tim was shocked to be cut so soon. Skip says that if Meyer wasn't willing to give him more time to learn the position or try to use him in a special offensive package and that Tim was not used on special teams shows that Meyer never really gave Tim a chance and should not have signed him. Watch and come to your own conclusions.

It may be time to acknowledge message boards just aren't for you. This is just so typical of you - you look at this board and think you're the universe. Frankly, I suspect most of the people here aren't sufficiently emotionally invested in other members to despise, or have feelings at all, about them. That's just you, who think your personal fiefdom should come with obsequious fealty. There is little about you other than your constant threats to ban people who don't pretend they love you that puts you in a position to tell anybody how other people feel.

I agree with Skip's take on that. I too felt that the whole "tight end" thing was basically an excuse to sign him to use as a gadget player. "Surely if any NFL coach could get any use out of him it would be Urban Meyer," was Skip's thinking and mine as well. I figured Urban might use Tim in a way similar to how he used him in his freshman year, with Chris Leak.
So in that context it makes no sense to cut him after just one preseason game because he supposedly wasn't performing well at the TE position, which wasn't really going to be his position anyway. Like Skip I am now confused about why Urban signed Tim in the first place.
