It’s the Circuit Court ASA, not the county. Plenty.
My bad. I fully admit to being unfamiliar with he Florida state court system. I would still venture, they would not have unlimited resources to waste on a case like this and whoever the prosecutor was, they were going to be pressured from above to wrap this thing up.

I never saw any reporting that matches your description. "the reports that first came out made it sound like he was active in kiddie porn chat rooms". Made it sound? How does a report "make it sound"? Show a link. Inquiring minds want to know.

Google it, it’s not hard to find.

I think GatorinGeorgia may deserve an apology from someone. Hmmm? And sympathy for his untenable living conditions.

Hmmm, if convicted of all 5 charges he could receive up to 20 months in prison? Doesn't sound like the kind of full-on child porn folks are imagining. I'd figure that kind of thing would result in many years behind bars.

Here you go.

His admissions to frequenting sites that had it probably is his biggest problem. It’s just dumb to be there, even if you’re not involved or “shy away” from the worst of it. Bad judgement, which again, is typical at that age(even if different crimes). But as I said, if he doesn’t even have to be on the registry, that’s a quintessential case of negotiating from a position of weakness on the part of the state.

Hmmm, or maybe when attempting to attribute a statement to the USA Today article that is referenced, the journalist mistakenly said up to 20 months instead of saying a mandatory prison sentence of 20 months.

Here you go.

Worse, police said Kitna shared an image “of a prepubescent girl in a sex act with an adult man.” They said Kitna told them he thought the photos were legal because he found them online. Police said when they searched his phone, though, they found “three more images of two nude pubescent juveniles in the shower,” and they said “all three of those images appear to be self-produced and were saved onto his cell phone last December.”

But is any of this true? Especially the "self-produced" part. Seems like it would be very easy to find those girls and verify.
In the court of my personal opinion the whole thing hinges on the age of the girls and their knowledge of being photographed.

Obviously not true as they offered him 2 counts of disturbing the peace with no fine.

I don’t know, which is why I asked the question of how did this case go from these allegations, which are really fcvked up & disgusting, to a plea bargain to disturbing the peace? The cops could have fabricated this entire thing but that seems unlikely with Kitna’s alleged statements referenced in the article. Ttheir evidence could potentially have been on the verge of being suppressed or maybe they felt they couldn’t prove at trial that Kitna was responsible if someone else with access to the devices was brought up by the defense? There’s probably other scenarios I’m overlooking, too. Ultimately I guess we’ll never know.

It's impossible to believe this is true with the deal they cut him.

I think there are a lot of questions and factors that still have to be looked at. Are these claims of pictures correct? Was this a case of blatant, intentional behavior? How do the QBs look in the next scrimmage? Were these images sent from an outside source? Etc.
