That may be the reason he felt the need to take 50 shots .
Look I'm no fanboy of his but we see this kinda stuff in other sports too. Coaches give RB's extra carries to break 1,000 yards in a season, starting pitchers are brought in out of rotation to get an extra win or in relief to get a strikeout milestone, WR's get thrown at to keep their consecutive game catching streak intact. In fact didn't our favorite team ,UF, have their entire defense flop against Miami back in the late 60's or early 70's so the QB could try and break some passing record?
