Looks like we're staring at 5-7 this year

This was a very revealing loss. I have some serious doubts that's for sure. Can't remember any elite coaches with losing seasons at their destination job.
Well the Goat himself Saban lost to LA Monroe his first season at Bama. Stop being dramatic n buckle your chinstrap, sweetheart. Gonna be a rough ride till we flip this roster.

It’s so nice to have low expectations,

I was told last year our roster was worse last year than anytime before. Prior to wheels coming completely off last year I leaned to disagree. I knew we weren’t great especially at Defense, ie LB (I’m not a Miller nutswinger’). Before end of year I changed my mind completely. We were screwed.

Miller plays his ass off, but he was a 3 star croot per 24/7
Good as a run stopper but a total liability in pass coverage.

We're not as good as we hoped we'd be and probably not as bad as we looked at times last night. Fact is, for all the shoddy tackling and inexplicably soft coverage that made an otherwise pedestrian Jayden Daniels look lethal, we waged a pretty good comeback effort. Richardson seems to play his best in circumstances like that.

What you're looking for at this point is signs of improvement. They're there amid a sea of mistakes. Nevertheless, the first year of a rebuild has so many moving parts, it's almost impossible to see the forest from the trees or handicap the future. Getting pissed off about it only serves to get your BP unnecessarily up. It's early. Stay chill.

We were lied to, again…

And Saban, ffs, already had a natty and NFL experience before Bama. So, yup, totally analogous.

I’m not giving up on Billy due to poor play or losses this year, I was always going to wait until next year for that. But he HAS TO make better decisions during a game. He needs to understand his shortcomings and hire a game clock specialist who’s sole job is to be on his hip during a game to make those decisions for him, because from what I can tell he is borderline retard regarding game clock management

You know what they (all of them) say about opinions. IMHO, we only have three solid defensive front and linebacker guys and two guys in the secondary. But, when a QB has 5 seconds to get rid of a ball, it is usually a completion; our defense rarely put pressure on their QB. The few occasions we got close to their QB, resulted in mostly incompletions.

The interception at the end of the game was a great effort and it came after we got to the QB (but we were penalized for roughing). Whether it was a good or bad penalty call makes no difference; if we had a consistent pass rush, the game wouldn't have been that close, and the penalty wouldn't have mattered.

This team can play better. It seems we can score points almost at will when our offense is cranking, but in a game where the team that has the ball last wins, is only half the game

Since we can't stop anyone else, we recruited 5 DL, 2 S and hopefully a 5* CB. That may be good news for next year, but the Gators need someone to step up now.

Yes and with NFL exp and a College Natty under his belt, still lost to LA Monroe with the talent he inherited his 1st season at Bama. Thanks for proving my point

No one is trying to be mean to your husband, Mrs. Toney. We just want some kind of a return on our substantial investment.

I predicted 7-5 based on our schedule and what I knew we had returning. 7 now looks like it’ll take a minor miracle. None of us thought our defense could’ve possibly gotten worse, but it sure did.

I agree that this was a revealing loss. As recently as last week I was still blaming our problems mainly on the lack of talent, and was feeling confident that we were going to improve greatly on that front going forward, just because I believe players are really going to like this Coach.

I'm sorry but that loss yesterday can't be blamed solely on loss of talent.

I still think Napier has the right personality and outlook for the job. However he needs to be able to convince players that in addition to being a supportive father figure, he also knows what the Fuchs he's doing when it comes to the actual football part.

Can he do that? In the span of one week I've become a little less sure. I'm now starting to consider the possibility that this guy may be better off coaching high school football like his Dad. All that, "we're developing honorable young men here" stuff is great, as long as you're also producing positive results on the field.

I slept on it, and my confidence in Karl remains in the ****ter.

That being said, there is one thing Karl can do to infuse some confidence back into the fan base and program and in an immediate fashion.

Beat UGA. Skull**** UGA. Slap that POS, bowl cut wearing, closet homosexual in the face so many times he pisses all over himself.

Ah, the ol "gay reference" play instead of a thought out rebuttal. Lets me know I'm right.

Cool.

If wanted to make a gay reference I'd say something specific to your sexual predilections. I could care less whether or not you smoke more sausage than Hillshire Farm. I'm talking about your continued, doggedly devoted, water carrying for coaches that are getting paid to produce and are not.

Have you ever coached a down of football? If so, what level and for how long? I'm asking because your football IQ is Simple Jack low.

Does that clarify my point and allay your fears of homophobic slurs, pumpkin?

I’m convinced that “Darryl” is kin to Slingblade and/or PT Barnum. There’s no other explanation for his corch-like defense of the indefensible. If only Toney could teach defense the way Darryl defends this staff.
