Long-time lurker, first-time poster. For weeks now, starting way back when Mac's departure was but a wish, the members of this board have taken quite an odd approach when it comes to his successor. I've seen a lot of it-has-to-be-this-guy-or-bust approach, with a if-it-is-not-so-and-so-I'll-slit-my-wrists mentality sprinkled in. Grow up. It's not like there is one savior out there, ready to remind us of the halcyon Fun 'n' Gun days. Stop being so narrow-minded and accept that a number of guys would be great hires. Hell, I can think of at least eight off the top of my head that I'd be thrilled to get. Here's my working list: * The current head coach at UCF * Oregon's OC from 2013-2015 * The linebackers coach at Northern Iowa in 2007 * The 67th selection in the 1998 NFL draft * Nebraska's 1997 quarterback * The Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 1996 * Ashley's husband * The guy who, on Dec. 1, 2015 — the day he was hired — told fans to buckle their seat belts because his new team was going to punch the accelerator. With so many options, we're bound to hire a winner. Stay Frosty, my friends.
