It probably stems from the fact that rhule has made it well known he's more of an nfl guy and was interested in making the jump back in a larger capacity. If mullen did the same would we see the same thing? Tough to tell, but rhule seems like a pretty darn good HC and has a bit of NFL experience and was thought highly of during that time. To me the interest makes sense.I think Rhule is a good coach, but not to compare but just for fun, it was mentioned on here by many that Cousin Eddie was a candidate somewhere. Rhule I believe has been a head coach in college for less time than Cousin Eddie and at Temple and Baylor, while Cousin Eddie has coached 2 teams in the best conference. I know that Rhule was an assistant in the NFL though. It is widely known that Rhule was on at least 3 teams list of candidates. Is it possible that Cousin Eddie was not on anyone's list and that he is not as highly thought of by NFL guys as some on here may think? Whether he was or was not a candidate anywhere does not change whether he is a good or bad coach or whether I think he is a good or bad coach. I am just pointing out that a guy at Temple and Baylor is being begged by teams to interview and Cousin Eddie does not even get a sniff. Does not mean anything per se, but perhaps the NFL is not as keen on our coach as some would like to think.
