The dude was just cut from the Cardinals practice squad. He was flat-out finished. Good for him. This will at least keep him on a roster next year.

He had 1104 yards for us in 2012. Last Florida RB to eclipse 1000 was in 2004 (Fason-1267). Kelvin has 985 so he needs 120 to beat Gilleslee. Kelvin probably needs 200 if we are to have a chance of winning the bowl game.

Always loved Gilly. He was patient and waited his turn to run after Demps and Rainey left. Hard runner with great vision, tough as nails, and practically never fumbled (kinda like KT).

It was really stupid to make him sit behind those two midgets. The offense would have been so much better with Gillie running, Rainey in the slot (moved him to WR in NFL) and Demps off the field (handling KR).

He must be faster than I remember too because I saw a stat that showed he hit 21 mph last week which was 2nd fastest that week

Every week it seems I am amazed at the productivity of some Gator player in the NFL, many of whom were not superstars here.

It is great to see him finally getting a chance to play. I thought he was a top 2 back for the Dolphins when he played there. The few times he received carries in Pre-Season he looked good.

Ok, the horse has been beaten, pronounced dead, and is currently at the glue factory.

But, in 2012, we had Gilly, Reed, MJones, Dunbar(who's been raved about due to his supreme athleticism), Debose, TBurton, a veteran line, and 2 QB's that have looked at a minimum "decent" at other schools...and we couldn't break the top 100 in offensive production? Again, I know it's been beaten to a pulp, but how in the hell does this guy get another job ever?

Pronounced dead, indeed. Yet the topic is still relevant.

Yep one of the main reasons we had that good record in 2012. Ran good despite the defenses knowing that was coming.

I hope he has found a home in Buffalo. They have that whiner McCoy but I hope Gilly beats him out next year on the field.
