It may not be a hate crime in the eyes of the DOJ but it is most certainly a crime of hate in the eyes of the common citizen.
Insanity. The Dallas PD told the press that the shooter declared his stated anger toward white cops and whites in general and his intentions to kill as many as possible. To call this act anything other than a hate crime and an act of domestic terrorism is dangerous on multiple levels.
Hate crime designation for a crime brings Federal charges and prosecution. Lynch is, as a result, actively protecting anyone else who may yet be arrested in connection with this massacre. She has also reached out to BLM leadership (people she has met with personally on multiple occasions) and essentially told them to "carry on".
This administration has staunchly and continuously refused to condemn ANY murders of whites by other ethnic group members as a "hate crime." My guess is that the azzhat who shot four white people in TN will also escape Federal charges despite his own stated intentions to specifically kill white people. He will now be sheltered by AG Lynch from the full force of the Federal law.
Furthermore, apart from the legal cover these individuals and their associates get by avoiding the "hate crime" charges, there is the silent, implied argument being made by this administration that killing whites is not "hateful" or "full of hate", but rather something to be, at best, excused, and at worst, celebrated.
No doubt some will find this position offensive, but the fact remains that this administration has bent over backwards to apply a double standard with regards to these sorts of crimes for the last 7 years. In my opinion, ANYONE of ANY color or ethnicity who desires to kill others based on the criteria of race, ethnicity, sexual, or religious affiliation and says as much to that effect should have his or her actions labelled as a "hate crime". Refusal on the part of Federal agencies to do so is, for lack of a better word, evil because it denotes a willful desire to ignore the founding principle that "all men are created equal" and deserve equal protection AND punishment under the laws of this nation whether they be a civilian, policeman, soldier, or politician.
We can get into the weeds concerning unfairly long prison sentences for black youths, the lack of fairness in the application of laws when it came to the fortunes of indigenous peoples and other minorities at various times in the past and present, the fact that anyone not named Clinton would be under indictment for "gross negligence" at this very moment for undertaking the same clusterphuck actions she engaged in with classified information, and other issues relative to laws and justice at another time and thread, but my response here was specifically directed at the nonsensical and uneven behavior continuing to emanate from this DOJ on this particular topic of "hate crimes."
My wife always gets on my case for being long-winded, but screw it.
