Personally I think this will be his only year at Auburn.

I agree, if their defense is markedly better. Which wouldn't take much with their talent, some program might take a shot at him as an HC.

He's damaged goods, it will take years (3 or 4) for people to forget the offensive :trainwreck: he orchestrated!

LOL! I just read today where he said twice he thought he shouldn't have been fired. Still delusional. I'm so glad he's not bitter after being given all that time to wreck the program, and then walking away with 6 mil to coach an SEC rival team. How evolved of him.

Hmmm, lets see....
Winning: not
Respected: when you're losing no one respects you.
Asschamp's dumbassery continues.

Losing respect for losing is one thing. It is another when no one respects you because your players block each other and in general don't know what they are doing and your offense is an afterthought..

Wouldn't shock me if it's not a good fit and his antics are highly unpopular by year's end.

He likes making buddies in the press and talking to them to make excuses when his D stats aren't good. "Offense put us in bad positions." He did it to Mack Brown and Tuberville. I have no doubt he will resort to his old habits.

As for him getting an HC job, I guess there is a sucker born every minute. However, Zook got fired and was immediately hired by a power conference. The fact that no one was interested in Dumptank shows that he has enough of a resume that no one wants him. He's a louder, more azzholeish Gene Chizik.

Your point is taken, but . . . have you been to Champaign/Urbana?

Dumptank would have taken a job at Idaho Tech or Southwestern Minnesota State.

Especially if you are a Bulldog and the program you destroyed is your bitter rival.
Enough already. Muschamp had his faults, and we all agree he needed to be let go. But continued thinking that he was some kind of Manchurian Candidate of a coach who deliberately lost b/c he went to Georgia is beyond absurd. He never could get any kind of offense going, and that doomed him. You can't just trust your D to hold an opponent to 10 pts & hope yoy get 13.

Plenty of coaches have coached their alma mate's arch rival, it's the nature of the profession.

“[We] changed the culture of the program" Will Muschamp.

In more ways than one.

Well, if he was truly totally hands-off when the offense was that bad then he shoulda been fired for that offense, as well.

At this point unresolved angst & anger at Muschamp is a self-inflicted wound. You're not hurting him at all, just chewing on your own irritation. Let it go.

“[We] changed the culture of the program that was labeled by the previous head coach as ‘broken,’” Muschamp said, referring to the coach he replaced, Urban Meyer. “He said it, I didn’t.”

I love the reading between the lines. No. 1, Will Muschamp remains a terminally silly, immature little man. "He said it, I didn't." A swipe at his critics while attempting to revise history by making the management of internal affairs more important than the product on the field, which leads to point No. 2. Urban Meyer was in as much in trouble with the administration over his handling of team matters as he was with Saban and Alabama. It spiraled out of control to the point of his statement, broken. When he could no longer control neither the behavior nor the wins/losses, he ran out for the sake of self-preservation.

Point No. 3. Foley kept Muschamp around long after his lack of usefulness as a football coach became all too obvious. He changed the culture, which made him useful beyond X's and O's, so the ends justified the means.

We had it all in 2008 and 2009, but then we didn't. The price we were asked to pay is steep.

If you're a proud Gator fan, the butt hurt lasts awhile. Besides, the person who truly deserves scorn is still employed at UF. At any rate, it will take at least a trip to Atlanta to get the puke taste out of my mouth.
