He's gonna be the most sought after transfer on the market. He's a game changer for sure.

Blackshear also put his name in the draft. He has until May 29th so it may be a while before we know. He also said he likely could remain at Tech.

He would bring experience and size to this team and could help develop the young guys.

so it may be a while before we know.

Here is the annual reminder:

Koulechov announced for UF 18 April 2017

Egor Koulechov will transfer to Florida

Barry announced UF 9 May 2016

Canyon Barry to transfer to Florida, eligible immediately

Hudson announced UF 11 May 2016

Former Virginia Tech guard Jalen Hudson transfers to Florida

Finney-Smith announced UF 14 June 2014:

Florida Basketball Recruiting: Transfer Dorian Finney-Smith Will Join Gators

So Duruji was a pretty early announcement and Blackshear taking this into June is not unusual.

We have a good track record of getting transfers from Va Tech....

Trouble is, Hayes was criticized for "hands of stone" yet Hayes made 67.3% of his shots - team leader. Are we salivating over Duriji who hits 46% of his shots? That's not an inside scorer's statistic. So, we're left with hoping freshman Payne can hit 60%+? Scoring efficiency is what opens gaps, closes gaps. We need scoring efficiency.

Heavy criticism of Stokes who hits 46% - Stokes needs teaching so he can step up. White needs to make something out of the players he's already got : Stokes, Basset & Stone. Plus, that's what would attract better big guys. An HC's style-reputation is a broad package. This upcoming season, with these "eggs-in-basket" players should be telling on White's coaching prowess or not. I'm excited as a pumper, but doubtful as an observer of White's past.??

Last year a little over 56% of his shots came from two point range. He made 55.1% of those shots.

I think rather than compare him to Hayes, a better comparison would be someone like Parsons or Brewer or Miller though Duruji will probably be a small 4 rather than a big 3 like Parsons, Brewer and Miller.

Yes, yes, and yes
If he is that good and already also put his name in to test the waters in the NBA what are the odds he doesn't just go pro now, especially since he already has his degree? Anyone know his projected draft status?

A very good college player does not always translate into an NBA player.

Additionally here is an excerpt from an article on where Blackshear might end up:

Jamie Boggs aseaofblue.com said:
“Evan Daniels believes the Florida Gators are serious candidates to land him.

I would say the two schools to beat early on are Texas A&M and Florida,” he said to the Herald-Leader. “I think Florida has a great sell with being close to home. And they have a major need at the (position) and they have the guard play returning and also enrolling with Scottie Lewis and Tre Mann.”

It depends on what Blackshear is looking for. If he wants to win now, it'll be Florida. The only reason to go to aTm is the coach. From what I've read, they aren't winning next season with or without him.

Keep tabs ... in coming years how much does Chance Johnson shine, does Keith Stone shine? It's neutral data on how well is your CEO's leadership getting best results wanted.
Should more effort be made to keep players from leaving their first-choice school?

If you keep up with it, and you can complain about the data you have found, haven't we all really already won?
