As some posters and pundits have noted, the CSU DL was small and outmatched and yet our OL did not get a good push against them. Very troubling. Pass protect was good because all our guys had to do was stand there. Reality will come quick as far as figuring out where this group stands.
Davis and Scarlett are still lacking explosiveness due to missing so much time. Perine and Pierce were getting to the second level quicker. Pierce is a brute and should get a ton more touches. If he doesn’t it would be a criminal mistake because this OL needs a guy who can make his own holes.
On the DL, Shuler got run over first and then blown up second on the two big running plays for Charleston. One was the long run, the other was their TD.
