Sports writers would be stupid not to scan message boards for their material. That's where their target audience, the people who really care about their teams, congregate. Plus let's face it, sports writers these days are pretty lazy. Most of them report what they are spoon fed with very little in the way of investigative journalism. How else do you account for the obvious recruiting violations that we all know occur with great regularity to continue to occur without a peep from the press until after the fact?

Hope this is true, but is this the same site that said the Locksley deal was a done deal?

Your second part is right, but you are exactly wrong on the first part. They know that we will read whatever they right about UF. They are not seeking us, they are seeking non-message board or more tepid fans and even non-fans. That is why the NFL does not give a whit about their hard core fans and are always doing something to try to attract more women to watching NFL football.

Super hire. The kids LOVE this guy.

He is the star pupil of our former best recruiter in the Creyer years, Doc Holliday. Damn great hire if true.
