Yeah, definite home cooking. And between that and missing every friggin layup it doesn't give me much confidence despite we look like we matchup talent-wise.

The "right under the basket" variety

5-23 20% FG
0-5 0% from 3
2-4 50 % FT

If we can just turn it around a little bit it could be a game.

Great energy and defense keeping it close, but we could literally reach double digits in air-balls in this game.

It's been rare, and so, a long time that we've had a "hard-bounce" quick dribbler that
keeps control of the ball. Seems we cannot dish off ever as well as any & all opponents ?
We have been too soft at putting the ball up near the rim. FTs are not contributory to winning.

In spite of all these poor characteristics, UF is only 2-points behind the #1 team and doing it
underserviced by our main cog, Egbunu. Go Gators, start playing like an aware basketball team.

Gators are down by 2 at half. I know it's looked ugly, but I'll take that in #1's house any day. Lots of effort so far. Lots of misses, too.

Our touch from 2 feet in isn't much better.

We are abysmal from 10 feet in. We should spend every practice practicing layups.

It was a good try. Needed Egbunu but thanks to crap officials that didn't happen.

We're down by 6 with a minute and a half to go to a superior team (Hill for an and-one). You're right, we can't shoot from anywhere. If we just hit lay ups and a few more threes, we're probably up by a good bit. Hill didn't start and played pretty well off of the bench. Chiozzo was good in the second half. Game over, we lose by six. We played hard despite poor shooting. Ted Valentine, not Denzel Valentine, was Sparty's Player of the Game. Officiating went well beyond home cooking.

Couldn't knock down the shots, but it was a great effort on the defensive end.

I'm not fan of how we defend. How are we supposed to play fast if there's never any traps or ball pressure? Offensively, chiozza hits acouple 3's in a row and we're not even trying to get him another open look after that. I give the players props though. The effort was 100% there. I know we only lost by 6 but msu missed some good looks. It's gonna be another long season.

FG 33%
3 Pt 22%
FT 55 %

Forget making the NCAAs, We'll be lucky to finish with a winning record with this inability to put the ball through the hoop. A basketball team that can't score is about as effective as a FB team that can't pass or run. Just about as frustrating to watch as well.
