Ok - so I am now a semi-Husker fan.
Or at least a Damian Jackson fan.

Loved the shot of him with the Flag.

some of those dudes can get pretty big, same with rangers. See Alejandro Villanueva, ex batt dude whos a steelers starting olineman
Ive never seen a large Ranger. Hell it seemed like everyone lost 30 pounds in Ranger school. Most guys came out 160 lbs no matrer their starting weight. 1200 cals at best doesnt work for a 200 pound beast no matter if you have almost no body fat or not.

Maybe things have changed.

You dont see em going through the pipeline; even the big guys come out super skinny; starvation is part of the stress process, but its different once you're through. Ive met some pretty massive and extremely imposing dudes in batt, the teams, and on ODAs. And despite being beasts, it was mostly muscle. Now imagine them out for a few years and beefing up to play football. Google Jocko Willink as an example, dude was an absolute hoss on the teams and a legend to this day; Marcus Luttrell is a pretty big dude as well, not 270 big but easily 240, and again, that's as lean as they are ever gonna be b/c of the daily routine. Hell, ive seen photos of Rob Oneill where he was MASSIVE, and not fat either. He was twice as thick on ST6 as he his today.

Guess I'm getting older in the tooth. Back in the day, 175 pounds was the biggest dude on any of the ODAs and 200 meant you were the med officer.

Not bad for a navy gal.

BTW ... most SOP guys are fat little round guys. And nobody considers Rangers SOP except Rangers. They are just infantry with a bigger budget.

It's 2019, bros. I didn't say it takes away from him his ability. I'm just saying it's not a shocker that he's front and center on the D.

You reek of Fobhobbit.

Sorta, I guess. Did 21 years, so ended up on some fobs for a spell. Also found myself in a lot of other places. That smell is probably the stank I will never wash off due to time spent at KAF. However, you just reek of sh!te sometimes. But on subject, did support the specials guys on several tours. You guys watch too many movies. Most I was around are a bunch of short, strong and round types. In fact, take their scruff away they look like the rest of us. Their strength is inside their head and heart.

Oh .. and again ... Rangers are just a bunch of regular infantry dudes with more $ and different color hats in garrison.
