This is what worries me most about Mullen as the head coach. I've never been a huge fan of his playcalling. He gets a little too predictable and conservative when the game is on the line. He mostly gets away with it when he has a 240 lb QB, but I also don't like watching the QB take a lot of hits when it's a close game.
That said, if he wins championships, I won't complain. It's worked in the past, so hopefully it will work in the future.
Your comments are spot on. Yeah, I remember feeling the same way - and we were routinely averaging well over 400 yards and somewhere north of thirty points a game. You might say, however; that I've had a bit of an attitude adjustment over the last 9 years. If we can achieve similar results anytime soon, I'll try to stop worrying and learn to love the spread option.
