Assuming he is guilty, lock him up and throw away the key. From a purely football standpoint, this hurts the raiders. He is on pace for another 1k season.
Watching the TMZ videos, this SOB better go away for life. The woman with him yelling for help for him as the other car is engulfed in flames. They need to put a bullet in his head and save the tax payer's money!

Let me tell you who wasn't lucky, the woman he hit that burned alive in the car. Fk Ruggs, he needs 20 to life. A guy who if a safety hit over the middle like Wright hit Kent...said safety would get fined and kicked out of the game...this mfer hit a woman in the azz at 157 MPH, probably fighting with his ho who caught him trying stick some other chick in the club.
Amen, Brother!

He'll probably only actually do 6-8 years. But Alabama fans will still claim all 50.

This New Vette, which is one nice ride, has a mid-engine which probably saved his life.

If it were a front engine, Ruggs would probably have an intake manifold where his face should be.

Indeed. I assume it has a "frunk" like a 911. That creates a huge crumple zone that appears to have contributed to less deceleration in this case and made the wreck survivable.

Totally forgot about midengine.

That aside if he hit an immovable object at 150 there would be little left of that Corvette but he did not he hit a moving vehicle probably with less mass but definitely with less energy.

The Rav 4 actually has a similar amount of mass to the vette and the crumpled front of the vette also reduced the impact on the victim's car. However...

Yeah, that's another issue. We put extreme efforts into crash testing the front of the car, build in crumple zones etc. Offset and side impacts are also tested. We don't really test rear impacts, because... well, when the hell are you going to get hit in the ass by a car doing 155mph?

The gas tank is back there because it must go somewhere and that is the safest spot... unless you get hit in the ass by a car doing 155mph.

Like Ruggs and his girlfriend, the victim was very much alive immediately after the crash. Maybe could have also walked away. Except the car caught fire and she was pinned in the vehicle.

Tina Tintor, heard screaming in fiery vehicle after Henry Ruggs III crash, offered a ‘shoulder to lean on’

"Alexander Hart, a security guard for a nearby condominium community, per the report, said he heard screams coming from the Toyota.

The driver was still alive, he told police. He said he couldn’t pull Tintor out of the vehicle because she was pinned inside."
