I mentioned that earlier that maybe Sully knew exactly what he was doing. He saw how the coaches of FB and Men's BB limp dykked it during the most important time of the seasons and both of them got mo' time and MO' MONEY.

I am sure this has happened before Sullys statement

Here's why LSU's new baseball coach Jay Johnson is not a home run hire

Sounds like LSU muffed up their new hire and pretty much settled for their 8th choice since a ton of guys all said no. The LSU job just not what it used to be and now they hired a guy that had a good record at Arizona but very average in conference record at 82-67 but did have 2 CWS appearances and 1 conference title in only 6 years at Arizona.

Perhaps some inside info on the NCAA lowering the boom on their athletic department. Even if baseball isn't under the scope, having the top two sports in trouble isn't inticing.

Or enticing . Maybe not but 1.5M per, 8,000 fans a game in the best baseball conference and arguably the top baseball job in the NCAA is VERY enticing.

Logic would agree with you but when the NCAA is involved logic takes a holiday. Until the NCAA announces major sanctions I must assume that nothing significant will come of all of the grumbling.

Recent history suggests that the Justice Department investigation will fizzle out as well.
