Entirely different blocks between a Cleveland and Windsor.

Cobwebs. The last time I engaged anyone on this subject was so long ago, I honestly don't remember. I do know my 351 was built in Cleveland or was a Cleveland or batted fifth in the Cleveland lineup.

I had a Clevland in my 71 Mach 1., High rise intake with a dual line double pump Holley 750. But was outrun by a Mustang with a Windsor, with serial numbers as a "69 special". Limited edition engines in that model year only.

Cleveland had a distinct "whistle" that sounded similar to a jet engine at higher RPM's.

With all the Fords I've owned I don't think I've ever owned a Cleveland. A bunch of Windsors, which were all sleds for the most part. Scratch that- I had a 73 Mustang convertible project car that had a 351- Q code if memory serves. Ratty POS that I flipped on eBay back when you could actually SELL cars on eBay.

What was the HP rating for the 302?
327 was, 365 ish...?
The 302 chevy was rated at 290 - quite low. One year engine, I believe. The Boss 302 in 69 and 70 was underrated at 290 as well.

I think the 327's highest was in the Vette at 365 being a fuelie motor, but I may be wrong about that.

This thread took a sharp turn but it’s still better to read about than Sports Illustrated.

I didn't have a car with any of those engines. But, I did have '74 Cutlass with a Rocket 350. It was pretty sweet , but I was too young and ignorant to appreciate it. Growing up the family had a Plymouth Fury III with a 383. You could hear it coming, sounded like an airplane taking off.

My first car was my dad's handed down Chrysler Cordoba with a 400 in it. You could hear the gas gauge moving when I pushed the pedal, unless parts fell off at the same time.

That RICH CORINTHIAN pleather though. And a huge flat front seat (once you raised the center armrest) was good stuff for a teenage boy looking for love in all the parking spaces.

Had an ‘89 LeBaron for a time. Second owner, and had some miles on it, but man that car made feel alive.
A totally different level of Crysler ineptitude with those 70s vehicles though. My 'Doba had like 40k miles and **** just fell off, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, power steering, carb parts, all can disappear while running down the road.

If DEI meant anything to the wokesters in Cleveland, they should have put that Hermes helmet on Chief Wahoo and retained his services as their mascot.
