I think Coach is on the right track; something to do with rankings, or not being ranked.
FSU is ranked ahead of us.

Had similar thoughts, but don’t think we were ranked in 2014 or 2017 at this point, and we beat the vols and Uk in both.

The only think I can come up with the is it’s the first time Spurdog has started a trivia thread since 10.03.14.

To be fair, our 5 game stretch(‘13-14) was only saved by having Bert lose to us in 2013 and the officials turning the play clock off in 2014 against Uk.
