Stricklin finally comes out of hiding: Billy Napier staying through 2025

Could someone please explain to me the draw to John Gruden. It's obvious that he gives some of you, at the very least, a half chub. The dudes coaching record is barely. 500. He won a superbowl 20 years ago with Tony Dungy's defense. And he had a "really cool" qb segment on ESPN in for a while. Nothing about his career screams he would kick ass in the SEC.

It's the Chucky persona.
That's it.
Nothing else

No one has milked more from a terrible Super Bowl against Rich Gannon and with someone else’s built team than Gruden. I have no idea the obsession either. And can you even imagine the “he’s a racist” nonsense we’d face in every recruiting battle because of what he said or wrote in the past? He’s overrated garbage, nothing more.

He isn't Napier? Is that enough?

The whole point about coaching record barely over .500 isnt a good argument to make. Its the NFL. Bill Parcells is .560. Mike Shannahan is .552. Kyle Shannahan is .530. Andy Reid is .665.

To be fair, I wouldn't have Gruden as my top pick to be the next coach. Not even 2nd. I would take him though. He is a coach of coaches. He has a lot of connections. I dont think he would have any problems at all recruiting the top talent in state, and country wide, nor getting building a quality coaching staff to come to whatever school he ends up going to. He understands the NFL business which is very important in the modern college game. And honestly...I like his offense.

But it will never ever happen. I just threw it out there to bring this thread back to the top because in about 1 month I bet we are going to be talking about who is replacing Napier.

So that is Dan Hicken correct? I know he was the sports guy in Jax on WTLV for a long time and was married to that shrew mayor Donna Deegan for some time before she decided to make the weather guy Tim Deegan her 3rd husband. Its hysterical how animated he is in these videos.

and wasn't that also the verse that Koresh used to insist that all the women and girls "anoint him with their oils"? suddenly it is creepy.
Should be a giant red flag if your church leader wants you to serve him symbolically or otherwise. Next thing you know you'll be building a compound, stockpiling weapons, and sending your wife into his bed.

We were raised Baptists. There was a period when Mom took us to different denominations after our regular church preacher was caught cheating on his wife. One was a Methodist church. This particular one had a closing ceremony when people were encouraged to talk in tongues. Us kids voted to not go back. It was like the Excorcist x 100.

@Swamp Donkey I don’t know about David Koresh and the “annoint me with your oils” business. You sure that wasn’t Bill Clinton frequently?

The only time I've ever seen that done during a church service, months later it came to light that the woman washing the preachers feet was having an sexual affair with him.
