I Have No Friends :(;n280322 said:Yes and they won one national championship within the last decade? What's your point, skippy?
TheDouglas78;n280328 said:For as much talent they have put into the league, only one title in 10 years, 2 in the last 15, seems like coaching might be an issue. Why are you defending LSU so hard?

Let's see, there's exactly 10 chances to win in a decade and they've won the NC 10% of the time during that period. There's 10 teams on the list, so I'd say they're right where they should be. Now, if you want to call the others out...you'd be spot on.TheDouglas78;n280291 said:This just proves there are a number of underachieving teams. TheDouglas78;280652 said:But they are #1 on that list. Now I'm not saying they are like Georgia, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oklahoma etc.. they aren't the worst team to be on the list, but they are #1. That means that they currently have the most, and by law of averages, means they have also had the most drafted. Means a lot of talent goes through there. It's fair to question how well they are being coached and cashing in, being that #4 and #6 have cashed in multiple which shows superior coaching of the talent. How good of a coach is Les Miles if he leads the Nation in NFL players, but they are a team with Talent who always comes up short. If he were the gator coach during this time would every here be happen with only 2 SEC champioinships in a decade and one National Title with that amount of talent?
GatorJ;n280664 said:This is about the last decade. Not the last 4 years. A lot of those players in the prior national championship class would be part of this draft number.
We are number 6 on this list and we had a 4-8 season. That's because the majority of the kids on this list would have been Urban Meyer recruits.
So although the numbers look nice there are mitigating factors.
TheDouglas78;n280677 said:I think I said the last decade multiple times.
2005 11-2 - 7 players drafted
2006 11-2 - 5 players drafted
2007 12-2 - 7 players drafted
2008 8-5 - 6 players drafted
2009 9-4 - 6 players drafted
2010 11-2 - 6 players drafted
2011 13-1 - 9 players drafted
2012 10-3 - 5 players drafted
2013 10-3 - 9 players drafted
2014 8-5 - 5 players drafted
Seems to have the talent to win, but not cash in. They played in the national title game in 2008 (2007 season), and the 2012 (2011 season). So two National Title contending teams in that time. So the rest of those teams had no talent? In the last decade 64 players have been drafted out of LSU, it looks like their draft classes have been pretty consistent. Not like the case of us, who Have huge classes then some really low classes. So next theory.
