We will reconsider if he ever wins in Jax.Law would.
That would probably need to be in the lounge?I don’t know which is worse - the passive-aggressive OP, or that people are actually answering it.
I know we’ve got this whole “March to a million” thing going on, but ffs team, let’s not fall for some rejected Swamp Ass poll of nonsense.
I’d rather have a 5 page thread on how my pee smells after eating asparagus.
Proud of him for mocking his own fans? Most immature move I’ve ever seen a QB make on the field.
He can be one serious turd that makes it hard to root for him. Hopefully he’ll act like a grown up and a leader this year.
He didn’t mock them. He told them to shut the fvvck up. And they did.
His teammates had his back. Tells you all you need to know about his leadership
The turning point of the season. It was all good after he finally pushed back and quit taking shyt like some snowflake.
Society has changed so much with all this being offended about everything crap. Get over it and move on. The whole thing lasted about 4 seconds and you’re still obsessed by it. All it did was motivate him. He played better and far more confident the rest of the season....and we never lost another game. I like a QB with stones.
FF is the most despised Gator player ever.
That’s really the point. We had a kid from a tiny HS with very little if any high level coaching in his life and very weak competition. A year later he’s in the SEC no less. He’s as raw a QB as you could find. Instead of acknowledging this we basically label him a retard after a disastrous freshman year. Then a real coach comes on board and the same kid...coached up for the first time ever...has a nice season with 24 tds and just 6 int. Runs for another 7. Goes 10-3 and wins a major bowl game. Yet here we are. Guess what? He’ll be even more improved this year. If he gets beat out by EJ...God bless us because that means we have an even better QB out there.
He could be the first QB ever to score a negative number on the Wonderlic.
Case in point. If it were funny, it might be understandable. Hostile and dumb? Fail.
I also stated he was treated worse than any player I've ever witnessed in the Swamp. If you don't agree with this name names. A poster suggested Chris Leak and that's a joke. That is a whale of a statement and either terribly exaggerated or a poor use of hyperbole. Now you're veering toward victim politics and snowflaking. Be careful!
He made em his b*tch!Everything changed from that point on without any doubt. The fans in the stands stopped booing Gators. Nothing will stop internet cowboys as we well know.
But to veer back to the original topic. It would appear that more online were traumatized by the shush in my opinion. Those 3 or 4 seconds have lingered far too long in the heads of some that were booing. The rest of us were sorta just “meh” and moved on. If I attacked someone verbally and/or maliciously I think I would expect them to come back at me. I certainly wouldn’t be offended if they did.
FF needed to step up his game....and he did.
Good Christ, it’s like you guys have never been to a sporting event. Fans are a-holes and have been back to the Roman gladiator fights. Your fans love you when you are good, hate you when you are bad. You can NEVER win by taking on your own fans. You lose no matter what. Smart players know this, why is why they are able to filter out the crap and ignore it. Smart players know that the best way to shut people up is through your play.Everything changed from that point on without any doubt. The fans in the stands stopped booing Gators. CAN PUNTER GET OFF ON RIGHT FOOT?Robby Stevenson concedes that nerves were a factor. Last Sept. 2 against Houston, Stevenson was a true freshman playing his first game as a University of Floridapunter. For an 18-year-old, that's pressure enough.
And he definitely never figured he'd be booed by a sold-out Florida Field crowd in what turned out to be an easy 24-point victory.
"It shook me up a little," Stevenson said. "But I guess people just expected a little more."...
After the Houston game, Stevenson improved. He averaged better than 42 yards per punt in six of UF's 13 games. And the booing stopped, too, thanks to Spurrier's postgame remarks to the media that expressed his displeasure of a freshman being booed in his home ballpark.
dont know where you dug up this random quote from some sad stiff posting on a message board from his moms basement, but as I've already stated, we've had this discussion before, and it was over the article I referenced that certain individuals were incorrectly using as an excuse to whine about dumping on players. If one person on a board somewhere in the world making a negative comment is enough to justify a multiseason narrative about fan negativity towards Franks then... whatever I guess. Enjoy your offseason lament. My friend, read the direct fvvcking quote yourself. I pasted it below just for you. And yes.... I hope it is the last time we need to read fake news. The below posted quote ran 180 degrees from what his teammates and coaches were saying about him at the time. You’re correcting me?...twice no less...come on, man.
Enjoy.
“Funny to see this thread today b/c I havewalked past Franks the past 2 days, once he was by himself and the other time it appeared the team was headed to some type of lightpractice in pajamas. When he was alone, hewas dressed shabbily and walking lazily looking as tho he was floating thru life. With the team, he was near the back of the pack again walking slowly and lazily. This by no means portends that he will not be successful on the field, but outside of a couple of runs and a big arm, he seems to have zero mental acumen for anything, as many havementioned. And it seemed to ring true whenseeing him the past 2 days. I am not saying the guy has to be dressed in business attire, but carry yourself with a purpose, act like you care in your everyday life and perhaps your fortunes might change on the field!”

Franks wasn’t smart on that play. If he had to do it over again, I don’t think he would do it.
