I understood what you meant, I want all of them to get the tools they need within our financial constraints. We should not go much more deeply in debt, but rather raise the money.
We dont have to go deep in debt. We should be able to do 50mil in very short term, like 3 years. No one is talking about going deep in debt. We are talking about a football facilty and an upgrade to our section 8 housing.

We are one of the top schools for revenue and contributions as it is. Always have been (for 40 years at least).

We just have to stop wasting 40% of our money on admin coffeesucks and not give to the university for a few years (we ve been giving up to 30 mil).

The check is way past due. Time to upgrade.

No one is talking about tearing down the stadium "just because".... to have the newest shiniest. Baseball is the only.one getting a new facility. Football will still be in the Swamp and basketball stuck in that ridiculous yurt/tent thing (upgraded or not).

Hell most of the other schools just used their ESPN money to build. We stuck all that money in Fooley's pocket never to be seen again (about the time he gave himself a raise to 1.5 mil a year).

There is no excuse for us looking up at the UCF and Memphises of the world facilitywise.

Im not against other sports getting upgrades too,but football has to come first bc they are the one who pulls the wagon. The only reason the baseball coach gets 10mil is football, plain and simple.

What a strange article by Saturday Down South. Have the numbers even been filed for last year yet?

Here is a better article from September 2018:

College Football's Most Valuable Teams: Texas A&M Jumps To No. 1

It’s been widely reported that the Aggies closed the gap with the cross-state rival Longhorns because of a vast increase in contributions. And indeed, from 2014 through the 2016-17 season, the Texas A&M athletic department earned $260 million in contributions, nearly double what any other school made in that time. For reference, in those years, Texas had total athletic contributions of $123 million; Florida, which ranks second in the category, totaled contributions of $138 million. Texas A&M, meanwhile, allocated $119 million of its total contributions just to the football team.

Following Notre Dame are four SEC teams: Auburn, LSU, Florida and Tennessee. Calling the SEC home means a huge boost to conference-level revenues, and each program also excels in a different area. LSU, for instance, ranks fifth in ticket sales with an average of $37 million per year; Florida is second in contribution revenue, taking home some $40 million annually.

SO - we’re 2nd in contribution revenue - yet we spend less than just about any football program ON FOOTBALL.

The newest numbers won't be out until September... it follows the University's fiscal year which ends in the summer.

Exactly the probably. We allocate only a tiny portion to our program.

And the lion's share goes to admin.

I just wonder what Texas spends all that money on since they are #1. They finally had a 10 win season last season but they really haven't done much since 2009 including 4 seasons with losing records which is more than we have had. They have averaged almost 6 losses the past 9 seasons so getting all that money hasn't helped their football program at all...

Bad coaching hires. Pretty simple. It's not for a lack of trying (i.e. Jim "Butters" McElwain).
