So, he's not a starter. But I do recall freshmen QBs named Tim and Danny getting significant downs that contributed to wins. I'm not counting him out. It can't hurt.

For the record, Danny redshirted his freshman year in 1992 while watching Shane Matthews play QB.

I’d rather we added a one and done. I think he is closer to 220. To me, he has speed. He is a physical, bruising back. However, I worry he lacks explosion hitting the hole.

This dude's primary roles will be on the scout team and perhaps special teams. If the staff thinks he's good enough to contribute in those two areas, then welcome aboard. It's silly that some of you are wasting time complaining about this.

He's probably capable, just has better and more experienced ahead of him. But I do like the kind of play calling where in a critical situation, someone like him gets sent in for a specific play and is overlooked and it works.
